Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Red Free Update Available Now! Angry Birds Festival Starting Soon!

SEGA is thrilled to announce that a free update featuring Red from Angry Birds is now available for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. In addition, a limited-time CrossOver event, Angry Birds Festival, will kick off on April 17. During the event, players can collect Festival Points to obtain exclusive in-game items.

Red Joins the Race in a Free Update!

Red launches onto the circuit in his signature Machine, the Super Roaster! This update also adds three tracks from the Angry Birds series to the game. Visit the Jukebox to set them as background music for your races!

Angry Birds Festival Coming Soon

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be hosting a special Angry Birds CrossOver event from April 17!　Join one of three teams and compete to score the most points. Each race offers a different challenge—perform the most Touch Boosts or complete other special objectives! Earn Festival Points during the event to unlock exclusive in-game items, including a new decal, horn, and more!

Schedule: April 17, 8:00 AM–April 20, 2026, 7:59 AM (UTC+8)

Rewards

• Festival-exclusive gadgets will become available to players in future updates.
• Alternative ways of obtaining Festival rewards may be introduced in the future.
• We have identified an issue where "Speed Character Kit" incorrectly appears as "Speed Character Kit 2" in-game. This is scheduled to be fixed in a future update.

• Extreme Gear Machines are now available in the demo.
• Anyone on PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games can try Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for free!
• Download the free demo to customize Machines, equip different Gadgets, and put them to the test in Grand Prix or Time Trial. You can also transfer your save data once you pick up the full game!

*Only the PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games demos will receive the update.
