2010 Peace through Technology Training Program

Youth leaders and those who want to add more experience and knowledge, here is a chance for you to get a FREE TRAINING.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR METRO MANILA

We are looking for dynamic young advocates from Metro Manila in the fields of peace building; Information and Communications Technology (ICT); social entrepreneurship; and sustainable development.

This program offers you an opportunity to work alongside young leaders who are committed to change and who are dedicated to being that change!

The Training

The 2010 Peace through Technology Training is a nationwide program for Filipino youth. It will be held simultaneously in the cities of Zamboanga, Iligan and Metro Manila. Twenty young leaders will be selected to participate in each series.

Our trainings provide participants with skills and theory in the following areas:

  • Facilitation and Peace Building;
  • Information and Communications Technology (ICT);
  • ICT as a tool for building understanding between people from different backgrounds ; and
  • Project management.

First Series

Qualifications:
16 to 25 years old
Must be able to attend all workshops

Download the application form online (available at www.peacetech.net ) or visit our office at the Tech Portal, UP-Ayala land Technohub, Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City
Electronic submission: Email your application form with one photo and one endorsement from your school or organization you are a member of to [email protected] .
Submit your application on or before September 22, 2010 for the first series and October 13 for the second series.

Selected applicants will be notified via email and/or phone on September 30, 2010 for the first series and October 22, 2010 for the second series.

This program is free of charge.

Certificates awarded to those who satisfactorily complete the workshop series.
