Globe Telecom in a text message yesterday announced the biggest modernization program of their network. Globe is said to be investing USD700M for this modernization which includes the installation of LTEs. LTE is the most advanced 4G technology capable of blazing data speeds.
Among the improvements that will be made are:
- Improvement of 3G Network. This means quicker and more dependable call connections, crystal clear calls, rare dropped calls, faster browsing and downloading and instantaneous messaging.
- Improvement of 4G Network. With this imporvmenet Globe is promising 4x speed of video downloading.
- Future Ready Network. Globe Telecom will also install LTE ready network which paves the way for even faster access of data on the go.
So let us expect a better service from Globe in the coming months. Although, personally I would say that about 75% of these promises will only be seen as actual by users.
