Free SSL for your website

I had a problem making my non-blogger site https.  If you are hosted on GoDaddy that will be a problem because you have to pay their SSL and it cost money.  How do you make your site HTTPS for FREE?  We found a way!

Use a Free SSL Generator

Thanks to Ayaldev and Gameseer PH because we learned where to get this FREE SSL Certificate.  It helps you to obtain SSL certificates for your website. They are issued by Let's Encrypt Certificate Authority and they are absolutely free. The renewals are also free and unlimited. Issued certificates are supported by all major browsers and operating systems.

In the process of using this tool you need to remember the following:
  1. Ensure that both http:// and http://www domain will be included.
  2. Use HTTP verification since this will only require you to upload files on your domain file folder.
  3. Download all the needed files and save them. Certificate Request (domain csr), and Private Key.
  4. Afer that you will have to download the two files which will be uploaded to your domain file folder r "webroot/.well-known/acme-challenge/".  You can check if the browser can read it by clicking on the file.
  5. Once you click next you will be given a private key and the certificate itself.  Download them and save.
Here is the link to the FREE SSL Generator.

Why is my site still not secured?

There are still some reasons why your site is not secured.

    • Login to your Admin Panel
    • Click on Settings - General
    • Change your website addess all to the "https" version.
  • In case your Wordpress is still not fully secured,
    • Go to your Admin Panel
    • Go to Plugins
    • Search for "Force SSL" in the new plugin.
    • Select "Really Simple SSL" and Activate the Plugin.
