Manila Food Review: Teppanyaki Brothers

When dining at the food court of SM Megamall, it is already hard to find good food especially if you have tried them all already.  This time around we tried a unique food - TEPPANYAKI BROTHERS.  Is it good?  Let us see.

What is Teppanyaki?

Teppanyaki exists for more than 200 years already and started in Japan when families would prepare food together on small hibachi grills. There was another story though which dates it back to 1900s, with teppanyaki chefs introducing the style, along with their intricate knife skills, to diners.

Literally, Teppanyaki means broiled on a steel grill.  It is the style of cooking that we will see at Teppanyaki Brothers.  It is not only a form of cooking but also in some way a performance as teppanyaki chefs performers while showing their skills in cooking.

Teppanyaki Brothers Review

The food at Teppanyaki Brothers is very affordable for a Japanese food.  The way of cooking is also very authentic and it will take around 10-15 minutes to cook it.  The place is also very clean although it can only hold a select number of guests.

My favorite here would be the Dori which is a fish teppanyaki and the squid.  I would also highly recommend the Bento Box which is better than most Japanese restaurants like them.

I am giving TEPPANYAKI BROTHERS SM MEGAMALL a 5/5 rating.
