Manila Food Review: Vikings SM City North EDSA

It was a double birthday celebration and we wanted to experience something different.  We strolled around SM City North EDSA and cannot decide where to it.  Finally, we stumbled upon Vikings SM City North EDSA and despite the long line we decided to give it a try.

Vikings SM City North EDSA is situated at the 4th floor of The Block, SM City Notth EDSA.  It was a large buffet area that I think can accommodate about 500 to a thousand pax.  We had to wait for about 2 hours before we can be accommodated due to the number of reservations they get.  So the first thing that you have to do if you want to dine here is to reserve online.  It saves a lot of time.

Vikings SM City North EDSA Ambiance

Buffet setup like this is ideal for dining with someone you love or with your friends.  This is not the place where you will conduct your business meetings or any formal meeting since the place is really crowded and noisy.  There seems to be a conference room there but still I am not recommending this for that purpose.

If you are celebrating your birthday, Vikings will also be ideal since they give you a FREE entry and all you have to do is bring along one paying customer.  They also offer barkada and big group discounts.  Plus, you will get a chance to wear the Viking Hut and be greeted with a warm happy birthday.

Vikings SM City North EDSA Food

They have tons of food selections from Filipino cuisine, Japanese cuisine, Korean cuisine, Chinese cuisine and more.  The number of dishes on foreign cuisine is highly commendable and you will love it.

You can also try a lot of new things and even prepare your own food like Doughnut, Pizza, Salad and more.  I think Vikings would like to help you expand your food creativity and create something to your own liking.

What I really like here is their selection of local food and desserts including our very own "taho".  Among all the stations I recommend that you try the Chinese and Korean station because they have food and tasty selections as well.

Another good thing with Vikings SM City North EDSA and I gues with other branches is that they have a free flowing draft beer.  Unfortunately, I did not notice that at first and I was already too full to drink beer but I tried it twice.

How I wish that there is also a free flowing Sake or even wine.
