Zomato, the place to find the best restaurants in the world

Finding the right restaurant or looking for a specific food which you want to eat or even discover had always been a problem for many.  We all wanted to have that one stop place where we can discover the food, see the menu and even see feedbacks from past customers who went to that restaurant.  Now, the search is over for ZOMATO just solved everything!

Present in 14 countries with its latest opening in Canada, Zomato is for me the biggest, most comprehensive, most up to date and the most objective restaurant portal in the world.  Well, if you contest that then I could settle for it to be number 1 in the Philippines.

Zomato countries includes the Philippines, Brasil, Canada, Chile, India, Indonesia, New Zealand, Portugal, Qatar, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and United Kingdom.  In there countries they are present in a total of 120 cities.  In the Philippines, I am hoping that they would cover more than just Metro Manila soon.

So what can you do at Zomato.com, of course you should first register and that is a no brainer since the site is very user friendly?
  1. Find the best restaurants nearby.
  2. See detailed restaurant info, and thousands of scanned menus.
  3. Discover restaurants according to your mood.
  4. Follow foodies for trusted reviews.
  5. Create your own personal food diary.
  6. Share your gastronomic journey with your friends
I had been an active member of Zomato already and you can follow me at my very own Zomato account - www.zomato.com/shenbrood.

Now, why did I say that if you love food you should be a member of Zomato?

I am not a big eater actually since I have to really maintain my weight but that does not prevent me from being a foodie.  I had been part of Zomatos fun and memorable foodie metups in Metro Manila and I really enjoyed it.  They visit not only the well known places but also restaurants that are hard to find and those that will really make you discover new flavors and new places.

So why did Zomato exist in the first place?  Let us share this message from Deepinder Goyal, Zomato Founder and CEO:

Zomato was built for the love of food – the one thing that stirs universal emotion (probably matched only by the universality of sex, sports and music). Our fondest memories are intricately woven with those of the people we were with, and the food we loved. Our food stories are perhaps the most told stories.
The best moments in the world are shared over a hot cup of coffee, a delicious meal, or a great bottle of wine. Cafes, restaurants, and bars have all been the original social networks, long before we had modern-day online social networks. Even as a team, we connect and share the most over a beer and a lamb kebab. Not over Google Hangouts .
We spend way too much time in front of our screens on the digital social networks, and we've stopped connecting with people in real life. But we believe that a good meal, along with good company, is where we find answers to all of life’s challenges. A bad meal, even with good company, takes days to digest. This simple belief about “people and food” gives us our wings and purpose.

So what's with the Zomato fork and heart logo?

The logo is actually called Zomato Heart.  According to Goyal, this logo transcends languages and cultures. It captures the story of millions of meals and experiences being shared with a vast global community of people. The story of “people and food”.

"Our world has been, and will continue to be, built around conversations over great meals. History, whenever written, has always begun with a toast, followed by a feast." Goyal shared.

Indeed Zomato will always be one of the best places to find food and the restaurants that matches them.  Happy discovering at Zomato and happy eating afterward!
