International Wushu champion, model, actress, and singer, Janice Hung had recently released her first single, "Cruel." Cruel is about the story of a love that ends up in tragedy and is a song in Filipino - Chinese. There is also a full Chinese version of the song.
Janice transformed from covering other songs to trying out singing her own original song. The tempo of the music is mellow and speaks out something that most of us can relate to. A complicated love, set in a complicated time with a conflict of interest where break-ups and tragedies are abundant.
The songs music video incorporates the story of the song, a short movie with fight scene and ends up with tragedy. Although, I would say it would have been better if there was no mic in the video. Overall, it is something to watch and to listen to.
